Kristi. Right, that’s my real name! I am a 21 yo girl, who is still in a mess of setting my future. Currently is living in Arnhem, a small city in the Netherlands where miss Audrey Hepburn ever grown up. I am majored in communication at my school, which is Arnhem Business School a.k.a HAN. Until now on, I am still questioning myself |
|
“Why did I take this study stream?”. Yet I couldn’t find the perfect answer for that.. I ended up answering myself with “I could’ve be a famous chef!”. Classics..
I grew up in a big family, with hilarious parents and two younger sisters and a brother. Might not a perfect family, but as far as I remember I can only see that we always happy! My parents raised me with a philosophy “to look below”, means that I should be thankful for everything I have, instead of comparing to what others have more. Guess that value had a big impact for my current life. I am very easy to get satisfied and to be happy by simple things.

In the beginning of year 2007, I found this fashionesedaily.com, and it turns to be the coolest blog I ever found! Then the forum, which is even made me much more addictive to it. That’s because all my life, I have a huge passion for fashion and food. Yeah, I guess the FDers noticed this fact very well :D I enjoy eating straciatella ice cream, as much as I enjoy wearing cute dress. And I love to bake like I am having fun in making a piece of dress. |

Once, FD collaborated with Socialite boutique made this bag contest. Surprise, surprise.. I came to be the winner. This is still unbelievable for me!! Yaayy!! I could never stop to say thank you to FD administrators and Socialite boutique team.. It just motivates me to be much more productive, and not only being a lazy ass (like the usual me) :D |
| I have an inspiration to make an article about 50’s dress from a small vintage boutique in Arnhem. And yes.. the boutique name is “The Fabulous Fifties”! They sell vintage clothes from the 50-60ish era. I often check the boutique, but not buying many stuff from there. Kinda pricy for vintage stuff.. :(
When it comes to fashion, I think for me it is more to be a trend in clothing industry. It comes and goes so fast, and no one can pull off all the latest fashion stuffs! Wisely, especially for me, I observe the trend and see if it suites me good. I won’t wear and dare myself wearing everything hip at the time.. Otherwise I will feel like I don’t have personality. Style is much more important, fashion is only an adds-on. Style describes a person, a person describes himself trough style. When people wearing an outfit, I saw it as a way to tell others about something, about their self, about their mood or whatever intention in it. Old sayings “Don’t judge the book by its cover”, is so over for me. Maybe I am wrong, but I believe that what anybody wears definitely will give whatever impression to others.
Me, myself love dresses so much! Dress always has a magic for a total feminine touch. It’s also make me feel sexier.. wups! Yeah sexiness is what I always try to pull in my everyday wear. Being sexy is not about to show off to much skins, wearing revealing tops or pouting lips (blah!). It is more to bring out the seductive side of a woman. It can only be a red lipstick, a fuchsia pump shoes, red nails, glowing skin, warm colors and many things. Most important is, again, personality. People with warm personality and having a subtle warm smile are hothothot!

As a normal girl, I love shopping as well! For me it doesn’t matter what brand I bought and where I go to buy those stuffs.. I went in to Hilfiger till Tanah Abang. I really don’t mind :P Good that I am not a picky brand-minded, isn’t it?! I love to sew my own clothes as well. I think it’s pretty cool when I can wear my own handmade in some occasion.
Nevertheless.. I wish that I will expand my passion in fashion to something else. I hope one day I will have a chance to learn the fashion industry and maybe have a chance to try working in it. Because what is a life without passion? :)

~Fashion burns brighter than sunshine!
“Women dress alike all over the world: they dress to be annoying to other women."- Elsa Schiaparelli

~Skinny Jeans
The fashion that I least liked right now are the Skinny Jeans. Partly maybe because people everywhere are wearing them. But the worst are the skinny-jeans-victims. The funny thing about this trend is that so many wears them, but people who can actually pull it off? Just a slight. Believe me I’ve seen tons who wears them and I believe you all do too.
Skinny jeans makes a clear statement that’s its trendy, fashionable, young, modern, etc. and if you can pull it off, well, that’s really good! But I think it’s terribly wrong for people whose body doesn’t actually fit hem. It worsens them. You can actually see their stomachs being squished and forced inside those jeans. Yes, it’s the muffin top. And no, it’s not a pretty sight. Also it’s obviously painful. And for people who have petite bodies and small legs it makes them look shorter. Heck, its making feet look bigger!
People should really wear what’s comfortable for them and their body. It’s a lifetime trend if you can do that. You won’t have to throw any “fashionable-at-the-time-junks”. There’s absolutely nothing wrong wanting to be fashionable or wearing what seems to be in and hip right now. But being fashionable to me is being smart over what you choose to buy and wear.

~Flat Shoes
What’s wrong?
Jadilah saya mulai mencintai flat shoes.

Jadi enggak heran, penampilan rambut manjadi pengting sekali.
